Nanakshahi calendar released

AMRITSAR: The Panthic Talmel Sangathan, along with expelled Panj Pyaras of Akal Takht, on Wednesday released a Nanakshahi calendar during a programme scheduled to commemorate the martyrs of Nankana Sahib massacre, 1921.

The Panthic Talmel Sangathan, along with expelled Panj Pyaras of Akal Takht, on Wednesday released a Nanakshahi calendar during a programme scheduled to commemorate the martyrs of Nankana Sahib massacre, 1921. The programme was held at SSSS School here.

During the programme, former Takht Damdama Sahib jathedar Giani Kewal Singh said the need of the hour was to make collective efforts to protect the environment. He viewed that due to vested interests in this materialistic world the mankind had been unmindful of preserving the surrounding.

Akal Purakh Ki Fauj head Jaswinder Singh advocate said the green belt could be erected around gurdwaras and vacant land at public places. He opined that all religion panchayat could be formulated to give it a practical shape.
