New certificate courses at GNDU

AMRITSAR: To promote self-employment among the youth, the department of lifelong learning at Guru Nanak Dev University has started new certificate courses.

To promote self-employment among the youth, the department of lifelong learning at Guru Nanak Dev University has started new certificate courses. The admission process for the same is going.

The new courses include a six-month certificate course in web designing; six-month certificate course in office management and secretariat practice; and six-month certificate course in English speaking and communication skills.

Besides, girl students can also take admission to a one-year certificate course in dress designing cutting and tailoring; one-year diploma in fashion designing; one-year diploma in fashion and textile design, one-year diploma in cosmetology and one-year diploma in computer applications.

Tejapal Kaur, programme assistant, department of lifelong learning, said, “The candidates can apply on the website, www.gndu.ac.in/lifelong/default.aspx, till June 28.With these courses, students will get opportunities to get skills ”
