The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) held “Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0” programme to address the grievances of employees.

These programmes were held at four places — Khanna Paper Mills Ltd, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Public School, Tarn Taran, Batala Co-Operative Sugar Mills, Batala, Gurdaspur and JMK International School, Opposite Canada Palace, Jalandhar-Dalhousie bypass road.

In a statement issued here today, the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner said that during the programme, the nodal officers held discussions with employers and employees about new schemes like the ‘Employment Linked Incentive” under the Prime Minister’s package announced during the annual Budget 2024.

He informed that Scheme-A offers direct benefit transfer of one month wages (up to 15K) to first-time employees in three installments while Scheme-B offers incentives for new employment in the manufacturing sector by direct payment to employers or employees towards EPF contribution for four years. Similarly, Scheme-C covers other sector employers for incentive of EPF contribution up to Rs 3,000 per month for two years.

He said that 10,168 claims were settled in the month of August, out of which 3,660 claims were settled within three days. Apart from this, pension was also paid to 48 new pension holders and 27,418 pensioners.

He said weekly seminars or outreach programmes would now be conducted to provide information and discuss the ‘Employment Linked Scheme’.
