Amritsar: Congratulating Navjot Singh Sidhu on his elevation as PCC president, the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC) has invited him to visit Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib.

Foreseeing it as an opportunity to help reopen the Kartarpur corridor, PSGPC general secretary Amir Singh said ‘lehnda Punjab’ (West Punjab, now in Pakistan) expressed happiness at Sidhu’s elevation.

Stressing Sidhu was instrumental in opening of the gurdwara in 2019, he said, “The corridor has been closed from the Indian side due to Covid-19. We appeal to Sidhu to take up the matter of reopening the corridor with the Government of India.”
