Patti police have arrested a lawyer for his alleged links with notorious gangster Prabhdeep Singh alias Prabh Dasuwal and misleading police by staging firing at his house to seek police security on Tuesday. The accused Baruno Dhawan, a resident of Patti, has been practicing in the Patti sub-divisional court.

SSP Bhupinder Singh Sidhu said the police arrested Harinder Singh who revealed during the interrogation that Dhawan had conspired and orchestrated the incident for getting police security. The accused was produced in court and sent to two days of police remand.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
