Pingalwara society holds seminar

Pingalwara Charitable Society organised a talk for the students of Bhavans SL Public School as a part of its educational programme. Under the guidance of Dr Inderjeet Kaur, director, All India Pingalwara Charitable Society, who briefed the students about the activities of Pingalwara, including the organic farms and school for special athletes.

She also informed them about the life of Bhagat Puran Singh, who was the inspiration behind the establishment of the dedicated society to help poor, distressed and homeless people. “We need more examples like him in our society today,” said Dr Inderjit Kaur.

She also gave a humble invitation to each one to visit the craft and cultural festival to pay obeisance to Guru Nanak Dev on his 550 Prakash Utsav and on the eve of 26th death anniversary of Bhagat Puran Singh. She motivated the students to make the society self-reliant, eradicate unemployment and to encourage the efforts of artisans. — TNS
