Police officials assume office

AMRITSAR: With parliamentary elections round the corner, transfers in the police department are going on.

With parliamentary elections round the corner, transfers in the police department are going on. Three days after Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and order) Bhupinder Singh took the charge from outgoing DCP Amrik Singh Powar, DCP (Investigations) Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar assumed the office here on Thursday. Outgoing DCP Jagmohan Singh handed the charge over to him.

Bhullar has served as a Superintendent of Police (SP) in Jalandhar, Faridkot, Mukatsar Sahib, Ludhiana and Jagraon before being promoting as a Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Moga and Mansa and again as DCP in Jalandhar.

Similarly, new Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP), Headquarters, Sartaj Chahal and ADCP City-II Sandeep Kumar Malik also assumed office. They took charge from the outgoing officials, Gaurav Toora and Lakhbir Singh, respectively.
