The city police have arrested three youths for allegedly scuffling, misbehaving with cops and obstructing them from discharging their duty at a checkpoint near the Mall of Amritsar on the GT Road here on Tuesday. They have been identified as Gurpartap Singh, alias Dogar, Balraj Singh of Rajinder Nagaar and Simranjit Singh of Sant Avenue. Their fourth accomplice Ranjit Singh managed the flee.

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Bhupinder Singh said he, along with other cops, had installed a checkpoint near the Mall of Amritsar. The accused came on scooters from wrong side so they were signalled to stop. He said the accused started using abusive language and tore his uniform.
