Gurpreet Singh Gandiwind and Gurbhej Singh Dhillon, state leaders of the two organisations, said that as many as 20 employees under the age of 30 have died while on duty since the beginning of the summer season.

The leaders said that the number of field staff was not sufficient. Also, the department had not given modern safety equipment to the employees for their safety.
