In addition, iron and folic acid tablets, and vitamin D drops are distributed among beneficiaries.

Teams of ANMs and other medical staff were regularly providing immunisation services at government hospitals, primary health centres, sub-centres and Anganwadi centres, officials added.

Vaccination facilities are available in various localities of the district — including Ravi Nagar, Kabir Nagar, Aman Vihar, Har Gobind Nagar and adjoining areas.

The department has appealed to parents to ensure timely vaccination of their children to protect them from preventable diseases.
