‘Rising Punjab’ book released during Gold Kabaddi Cup

During the ‘Gold Kabaddi Cup’ organised at Khadoor Sahib today, the book ‘Rising Punjab’ was released by DIB Events, Dubai. The book has been written in both Punjabi and English languages. In the ‘Gold Kabaddi Cup’, Baba Sukha Singh, who worked tirelessly during the floods, was the chief guest and blessed the players.

The book ‘Rising Punjab’ contains information about the emerging religious, political, cultural and social personalities of the state. The information has been collected with hard work and presented in the service of the Sangat.

Eleven pages of the book are dedicated to the history and service of Samparday Kar Sewa, Sarhali Sahib, in which the history of the sect is narrated as well as the services rendered by Baba Sukha Singh and Baba Hakam Singh during the floods have been recorded.

Speaking on the occasion, the organisers said that while this book will bring to light the lives of emerging personalities in different areas of Punjab before the world, it will also become a means of conveying the history of services rendered by Baba Sukha Singh and Baba Hakam Singh during the floods to people in other countries. The author and compiler of this book is Dr Manjinder Singh Dubai (organiser of DIB Events).

Singh Billa, Sarpanch of Sheron village, honoured four prominent Kabaddi players on the occasion by presenting them the keys of motorcycles.
