RMPI protests against police ‘atrocities’

Tarn Taran, November 27

Activists of the Revolutionary Marxist Party of India (RMPI) on Wednesday started their indefinite dharna at the District Administrative Complex (DAC) against alleged police atrocities.

On the assurance of police officials that their grievances would be redressed shortly, the protesters lifted the dharna.

Despite inclement weather, a large number of party workers participated in the dharna.

Pargat Singh Jamarai and other RMPI leaders, while addressing the activists, alleged that police had become an instrument in the hands of ruling party leaders.
