Public Works Minister Vijay Inder Singla on Friday said that following the approval of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, the state government has decided to name Raiya to Khadoor Sahib road after former MLA shaheed Sant Singh Lidhar who laid his life to bring Punjab back on a peaceful track. Notably, Sant Singh Lidhar had served as a two time member of Punjab Vidhan Sabha from Beas constituency and he was a noted social worker of the area. Singla said the Punjab Government was committed to providing better road connectivity to people and efforts would be made to achieve the set targets. — TNS
