Interacting with senior citizens, the minister said the Punjab Government was committed to ensuring healthcare, security and a dignified life for the elderly.

He added that Rs 7.86 crore had been allocated for the 2025–26 financial year under the State Action Plan for Senior Citizens to strengthen health services, awareness initiatives and essential facilities for older persons.

The minister said similar camps were being organised across all districts of Punjab, with the Jandiala Guru camp serving elderly residents of Amritsar district.
