During a 7-day NSS camp organised at Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Sarhali, the Sarhali CHC held a check-up camp for students and employees of the college on Wednesday.

Principal Jasbir Singh Gill said, during the camp, volunteers conducted a cleanliness drive on the college campus, and in its ‘adopted’ village of Marhana.

Rallies were taken out to raise awareness among villagers about the importance of cleanliness.

Various saplings were planted on the campus, and volunteers took responsibility for maintaining these.

The Principal thanked the Sarhali CHC team — which included ANM Maninder Kaur, BEE Balraj Singh, BSA Vishal Kumar and IA Mandeep Singh — for conducting the camp.

NSS coordinator Balwinder Singh said, during the camp, not only cleanliness and environment were discussed, but also lectures were conducted on drug de-addiction and environmental protection to keep the youth away from social evils.

Marhana Sarpanch Hira Singh, too, addressed the gathering at the event.
