The process of self- enumeration began under the first phase of Census-2027 in Amritsar district today. Deputy Commissioner Dalwinderjeet Singh stated online self-enumeration can be completed on the SE portal from April 30 to May 14. He added that self-enumeration is a facility through which residents can themselves enter their information on the government portal. He added that citizens need to visit the official Census portal (se.census.gov.in). “They will have to log in using their mobile number and basic details. Thereafter, they must fill in the required information on the portal. Once the form is successfully submitted, the portal will generate a ‘Self-Enumeration ID’ (SEID). When the census enumerator visits the household, the citizen only needs to present this ID, which will enable verification of the information and eliminate the need to fill the form again,” he shared.
