Lok Insaaf Party leader Simarjit Singh Bains and communist leader Mangat Ram Pasla held six separate rallies in the favour of Punjab Democratic Alliance (PDA) candidate Bibi Paramjit Kaur Khalra in Baba Bakala and Jandiala constituencies on Sunday.

A large number of people attended the rallies at Umrangal, Bhorshi and Butari villages.

Simarjit Singh Bains stated that the voters should support the cause of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalara’s wife. The residents should think beyond their affiliation to the political parties in the case of Bibi Parmajit Kaur Khalra, he said.

Communist leader Mangat Ram Pasla urged the people to choose socialism by casting their votes to their candidates. “The PDA is an alliance of seven like-minded parties. Diversity is our power. We don’t want monoculture of the saffron party,” he said.

In Bhorshi village, Paramjit Kaur Khalra said Jaswant Singh Khalra had identified 25,000 unidentified bodies cremated by the Punjab Police during the Congress regime. “We always stand for the justice and human rights,” she added.

Charandeep Singh Bhinder of the Lok Insaaf Party thanked the people who attended these rallies to support Bibi Khalra.
