Speaker exhorts student to work hard, limit phone use

Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan exhorted students to work hard with complete dedication to succeed in life. He said this while addressing a gathering on the occasion of the 15th Udan Programme of Akal Purkh Ki Fauj School in Kallha on Friday.

He encouraged the students to wake up early in the morning and chant Gurbani. He suggested them to avoid undue use of mobile phone, highlighting the prevalence of increased screen time among youngsters and the side-effects of the habit.

“Student life is a golden time when a person can lay the foundation of a successful life ahead,” the Speaker said.

Sandhwan gave prizes to outshining students for their remarkable performance in different fields. Principal Ravinder Kaur presented a vote of thanks. Giani Kewal Singh, former Jathedar, Takht Sri Damdama Sahib; Professor Manjit Singh, former Jathedar, Sri Akal Takht Sahib; and Advocate Jaswinder Singh, Convener, Akal Purakh Ki Fauj; were also present.
