A winning student being honoured during the annual sports day at Majha College for Women

Majha College for Women here celebrated its 15th annual sports day on Saturday at the college playground. Khalsa University, Amritsar, Vice-Chancellor Mehal Singh was the chief guest at the event. College Principal Harminder Kaur said 100, 200 and 400-m races as well as relay races, sack races, and long-jump, javelin throw and tug-of-war events were conducted as part of the programme. Winning students were honoured during the event. Singh exhorted students to give equal importance to studies and sports. Addressing the gathering, the Principal delved into the progress and achievements of the college.
