Coming across rampant violation of traffic norms on the national highway, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kamaldeep Singh Sangha on Wednesday called police officials to the spot and made them issue challans to around 20 persons for driving on wrong track.

During his visit to Beas, the DC noticed that commuters were violating the traffic rules by driving on the wrong track. He called SDM Deepak Bhatia to the spot and showed him the mass violation of traffic rules.

Police officials also reached there and challaned the violators. The DC also found a school bus driving on the wrong side. The principal of the school has been summoned.

The Deputy Commissioner instructed the police officers to focus on wrong-side driving and haphazard parking which cause accidents.
