Students make their mark as JEE (Main) result out

AMRITSAR: It was a day to rejoice for several students in the city who scored more than 90 percentile in the JEE (Main) of the National Testing Agency (NTA) the result of which was declared on Saturday. The exam was conducted from 9 January to 12 across the nation.

It was a day to rejoice for several students in the city who scored more than 90 percentile in the JEE (Main) of the National Testing Agency (NTA) the result of which was declared on Saturday.

The exam was conducted from 9 January to 12 across the nation.

The students of DAV Public School, who secured more than 90 percentile, include Aarush Sharma (99.96), Eeshan Sharma (99.88), Manaarth Saini (99.81), Pranav Gera, (93.5), Rohan Kumar (94.6), Sanyam Sharma (95.6) and Rishab Aggarwal (90.8).

Sharing his success mantra, Aarush Sharma said, “I did not take a lot of unnecessary stress. I used to plan study schedule, but hours were not fixed.”

Ashish Gupta, who has scored 99.94% in his first attempt, is keen on appearing for second attempt as well. A student of Spring Dale Senior School, Gupta, who plans to take up computer science or electronics, said, “The paper was a moderate one. I am happy at my score. I thank my parents, school and coaching institute.”

Besides, Ashish Gupta other students of the school, who made their presence felt, include Manhar Singh Sachdev (99.6), Ayush Sood (97.54), Aryan, (96.6), Sarvdeep (96.4), Sayyam (96), Raghav (96), Tushar (95.5), Shantanu (94.16) and Ridhima (92.7).

Students of DAV International School — Ranvir Singh (99.74), Shubh Karman Singh (96.32), Shivam Devasar (95.8), Mukund Kapoor (95.65), Aastha Jaipura (94.65), Sahil Bhagat (92.7), Bhavya Goyel (92.46).

Jatinder Singh from Wisdom Classes, a coaching institute, said, “This is for the very first time that the percentile system and a five-day examination has been introduced. There will be clarity after the second examination. Though it is optional, many students will go for it.”

As per the press release of the NTA, after the JEE (Main) April 2019 exam, the ranks of the candidates will be released, taking into consideration better of the two NTA scores of all the candidates appeared in January 2019 and April 2019.
