Students sensitise people to dengue

Students of Mount Litera Zee School on Friday conducted a rally to spread awareness on prevention of dengue. The rally began from Novelty chowk and passed across Lawrence road. They urged residents to keep their surroundings clean and informed the people on the importance of keeping the breeding of infectious mosquitoes in check. 

The rally was flagged off by District Education Officer Salwinder Singh Samra. Officials of the district administration team motivated the students and began the awareness march by unleashing  balloons in the sky.

Slogans such as “Swachta ka rakho dhyan, dengue se bachao apni jaan” “Kill mosquito before they kill you” were raised during the rally. Pamphlets were distributed to enlighten the general public about the deadly disease which led to an encouraging response. The students used loudspeakers and raised their voice against dengue.
