AMRITSAR: In order to preserve and promote traditional Punjabi culture among younger generations, Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, Majitha Road Bypass, organised a cultural mela here on Monday.

Amritsar, April 22

In order to preserve and promote traditional Punjabi culture among younger generations, Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, Majitha Road Bypass, organised a cultural mela here on Monday.

The celebrations were held in the school premises which were beautifully decorated depicting the rich culture of Punjab. The function was engraced with the presence of respected member in charges Rajmohinder Singh Majitha, Navtej Singh Narang and Manmohan Singh. Members of UNESCO were invited as guests.

They were given a floral welcome. Principal Dapinder Kaur welcomed the distinguished gathering with her inspiring words. Giddha and bhangra presented by the school students left the guests spellbound. The chief guests delivered a valuable speech to encourage students and staff for their laudable efforts.
