Tarn Taran lad to lead Indian contingent at International badminton tourney

Alamdeep Singh, a student of Class XII at Guru Nanak Dev Academy, Chabal Road, Noordi, Tarn Taran, will participate in the Shuttlecock Open Hong Kong International Tournament from June 10 to 14 at Khlong Fork, Sports Centre, Thinh Sha Shui, Hong Kong, on behalf of the Shuttlecock Association of India.

Principal Jaspal Kaur Sidhu said Alamdeep had won a gold medal at the national level and will lead the Indian team in the international competition in Hong Kong. The Principal said that it was a matter of great pride that players of the Guru Nanak Dev Academy were competing at the international level.

Jaspal congratulated the school’s sports department on the occasion.
