With 10 more deaths reported in the district due to the Covid-19 on Monday, the toll has increased to 1,112. The district health authorities reported 561 new cases. With this, the total count has increased to 37,802.

The new cases include 391 influenza like illness cases and 170 contacts of positive patients. The district health authorities also reported 500 recoveries, with which, the recovery count has reached 30,996. At present, the district has a total of 5,684 active cases.

Those who breather their last include Tilak Raj, a 57-year-old from Darshan avenue; Jagmeet Singh (58) of New Sandhu colony; Usha Rani (55) of Dollo Nangal village near Beas; Krishan Lal (52) of Shri Ram Avenue; Harkrishan Singh (89) of Basant Avenue; Kewal Singh (72) of Vikas Nagar, Chhehharta; Gurcharan Singh (39) of Baba Bakala; Satpal Soni (79) of Ranjit Avenue; Harwinder Singh (80) of Shivala and Charanjit Singh (78) of Judge Nagar.

One death, 103 new cases in Tarn Taran

The health authorities reported one Covid-19 related death in the district on Monday. With this, the toll increased to 243 in the district.

Deputy Commission Kulwant Singh said 103 fresh Covid-19 positive cases surfaced in the district today. He said the tally of active cases has reached 783. A total of 368 patients have been isolated at their homes.

The authorities vaccinated 1,06,265 beneficiaries in the district to date.
