TARN TARAN: Three persons have been booked for illegal mining in the district. Besides, a tractor-trolley and two bullock carts, laden with sand, have been seized. The inspection team was led by KL Bhagat, Mining Officer, Khadur Sahib, that seized the carts alongside the river in Goindwal Sahib. The accused have been identified as Kashmir Singh of Goindwal Sahib and Saba of Hansawala. They fled the spot leaving their carts behind. The Harike police seized the tractor-trolley from Booh village. The identity of the owner is yet to be established. OC
Symposium on women’s health
Amritsar: Around 100 women from the city participated in a symposium on women health organised by Eat It Right, a nutrition clinic. The event was organised by Ridhi Khanna, a nutritionist, included lectures from various experts related to physical and mental health of women.
