The three-day Rangla Punjab Utsav organised by the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs of the Punjab Government at Ranjit Avenue Maidan in Amritsar concluded with popular singers Manmohan Waris, singer Jaspinder Narula and Bani Sandhu performing to a full house. A special drone show was organised on the second evening of the function today, through which the rich cultural heritage of Punjab and the saga of bravery were depicted in the sky.
Advisor to the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Deepak Bali, who arrived as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of Rangla Punjab Utsav, said that this three-day festival organised in Amritsar has been promoting the cultural heritage, lifestyle and food of Punjab at the global level.
Advisor Deepak Bali said that the state government is making special efforts to preserve and promote the rich heritage of the state.
Director of Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department, Sanjeev Tiwari was also present. Meanwhile, the exhibition stalls lacked the display of Punjabi crafts and handlooms. While the craft market had limited presence of typically Punjabi crafts, the food too was not all Punjabi. The biggest draw was the live evening live concert by Punjabi singers, who dished out popular numbers for a young crowd. During the closing ceremony, the Tourism Department and the district administration specially honoured guests, artists and people who contributed in mela.
