Travel agent booked on fraud charge

TARN TARAN: The Patti Sadar police have booked a travel agent for duping a man of Rs 21 lakh on the pretext of sending his son abroad.

The Patti Sadar police have booked a travel agent for duping a man of Rs 21 lakh on the pretext of sending his son abroad. Sachin Sharma, a resident of Batala road, was booked on the complaint of Ranjit Singh, a resident of Chuslewar village. The police have booked the accused under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 of the IPC and Section 13 of the Punjab Prevention of Human Trafficking Act.

The complainant claimed that he gave the amount to send his son to Canada. He said neither the accused send his son to Canada nor returned his money back.
