“Most rallyists, who aim to cover the length and breadth of the country to explore and find meaning through their journey, start from mountains towards the sea, from the North to the South. But I began my journey from Kanyakumari in the South and aim to finish it in Srinagar in the North.”

Shailendra Singh, a producer from Mumbai and entrepreneur, who has embarked on the One India My India rally, shared why his journey was different as he arrived in Amritsar with his team. Having travelled almost 6,000 km, crossing 11 states and 15 major cities across the country, Shailendra Singh, who is also known as a business guru, hopes to unite the country through the message of love and peace. “During our travelling, we have met a lot of people, some known faces and others part of the crowd. Through our interactions, we shared a common feeling of love and peace, an ambition to excel and do something worthwhile in life. We have collected so many stories, of courage, or sacrifice and silent patriotism, just by meeting these everyday faces and people who are Indian rather than belonging to a particular caste, state or community,” he shared.

To share his message and mission behind the journey, Singh had collaborated with music director and singer Mithoon and Jubin Nautiyal, along with Sukhwinder Singh, to launch the One India My India anthem, titled Ek Bharat Mera Bharat Anthem4Good. “Music is something that binds everyone, beyond languages and other barriers. We also have documenting our journey, its obstacles and other experiences digitally so that people can actually relate or know about our mission,” he shared.

Shailendra Singh plans to culminate his journey in Srinagar, though the Kashmir valley is undergoing a process of normalcy after the abrogation of Article 370.
