Our Correspondent

Tarn Taran, June 30

Employees of government departments under the joint banner of Punjab UT Mulazam and Pensioners Sanjha Front and Purani Pension Bahali Sangharsh Committee burnt copies of the state government Budget here today for not reviving the old pension scheme.

While addressing protesters, Kulwinder Singh, district convener, and Prabhjot Singh Gohalwar, district general secretary of the union, condemned the AAP-led state government for not mentioning the revival of the old pension scheme in the Budget.

They said all AAP candidates had assured employees of replacing the New Pension Scheme (NPS) with the old pension scheme.
