Former Chairman of the Amritsar Improvement Trust and senior Congress leader Dinesh Bassi expressed deep sorrow over Grewal’s demise. He said the accident was extremely painful and heart-breaking.

“His sudden demise is an irreparable loss not only to his family, but also to the entire journalism fraternity, and society,” he added, urging the administration to take strict action against those responsible for the accident without any pressure, and ensure that justice was delivered to the victim’s family at the earliest.
