Woman booked for attacking AFSO in Amritsar

Amritsar: An official of the Food and Civil Supplies Department was attacked by a woman, when he was sitting in his office here on Tuesday. The victim, Assistant Food Supply Officer Mohanjit Singh, said yesterday, at 1.15 pm, when he was on duty at his office — Kashmir House near DTO office Gawal Mandi — an unidentified woman came to his office and forcibly took government documents from him and started shouting. She slapped him and used abusive language. She was angry and claimed that the department didn’t prepare her Blue Card. After creating high drama, the woman fled with an unidentified person on a motorcycle. A video of the incident also went viral. ASI Sushil Kumar, in-charge, Gawal Mandi police post, said a case was registered against unidentified woman and the police have initiated investigation. She would be arrested soon. TNS
