AMRITSAR: A workshop on instructional strategies for social science teachers was organised at the department of education of Guru Nanak Dev University to keep teachers abreast with the latest instructional strategies in the changing scenario.



Amritsar, May 24

A workshop on instructional strategies for social science teachers was organised at the department of education of Guru Nanak Dev University to keep teachers abreast with the latest instructional strategies in the changing scenario. The workshop was organised under Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission. More than 30 participants from different states of the country attended the workshop.

The main objective of the workshop was to bring together teacher educators and school teachers to cover a range of topics that would help to shape many aspects of lives ranging from education of the children, to ensuring democracy, to human relationships and how to cope with community issues.

At the valedictory session, Prof. Amit Kauts, project co-coordinator, said that teachers should be committed to bringing about transformational change in their teaching to deal effectively with children of the digital world known as tech-natives. He also felicitated the participants. GNDU Vice-Chancellor Jaspal Singh Sandhu emphasised the importance of teachers in his own life. — TNS
