Zonal Youth Festival concludes

Zonal Youth Festival of Zone ‘B’ of Guru Nanak Dev University concluded at Dasmesh Auditorium on the campus here on Tuesday.

In ‘A’ Division, Swami Swatantranand Memorial College, Dinanagar, emerged overall champion while Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar, and RRMK Arya Mahila Mahavidyalaya got second and third positions, respectively.

In ‘B’ division, Shri Guru Angad Dev College, Khadur Sahib, won the overall champions trophy followed by Sikh National College, Qadian (Gurdaspur), and SL Bawa DAV College, Batala, which bagged the second and third positions, respectively, in the festival. Shiv Darshan Singh Sandhu, PPS, ACP, was the chief guest on the occasion and gave away trophies to the winners.

Dr Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi, Dean (Students Welfare), and Dr Amandeep Singh, in charge, Youth Welfare, gave away trophies to the winning teams and congratulated all the participating teams.

Today, the giddha and general dance, western vocal (solo), western group song, western instrumental (solo) competitions were organised.
