The fight against drug menace is the duty of all people and people who have information about about drug sellers should come forward, stated Devinder Singh, DSP Samrala, while addressing public meetings against the menace drugs here.
Devinder Singh also appealed to the parents to keep watch on their children to save them from drugs. He said the timing of going out and coming back home of growing children should be kept in mind by the parents. Living and feeling alone could also be the start of doing drugs, he added.
During a meeting, organised under the president of Samrala Truck Union, Jatinder Singh Joga, at the truck union office, DSP said parents should be friendly with their kids to save them from getting addicted to drugs. A friendly behaviour will help in bringing any unusual activity in the notice of the parents.
Devinder Singh said: “we have also organised such meetings at other villages, including Otalan, Ghungrali, Bardhalan and are motivating people to join the police force to fight against the menace of drugs. Samrala police aim to root out drugs from the area and are hiring stage artists to stage plays against the use of drugs. We would cover more villages in the coming day.”
