Chandigarh, June 14

Six new Hova badminton courts have been installed at the Sector 43 Sports Complex here to help city shuttlers train in an effective manner.

The new facility was inaugurated by UT Sports Director Capt Karnail Singh on Thursday.

“There was a long-pending demand of the players to have Hova courts at the Sector 43 Sports complex. Hova court flooring is an essential requirement for badminton matches,” the Sports Department said in a statement.

It also helps players train effectively for various national and international competitions and save themselves from injuries, the department added.

With the addition six new courts, the total number of badminton courts at the centre has gone up to nine.
