New Delhi, November 21
Air quality in many parts of Delhi and the Capital turned severe on Thursday due to calm winds and high humidity, officials said.
The situation is likely to worsen in the next 24 hours. According to the India Meteorological Department, very low wind speed due to a western disturbance and high humidity due to shallow fog in the morning led to accumulation of pollutants. An IMD scientist said the air quality was expected to remain severe on Thursday and Friday. — PTI
