The rural police have confiscated 1 kg of heroin during the interrogation of Shamsher Singh Shera, who was nabbed by the police with 7.5kg heroin on Friday.
SSP Vikram Jeet Duggal said the accused had hidden the drugs in the agricultural land in Bhaini Rajputa village. He said the police was expecting more recovery from the drug smuggler.
According to the police, Shera was found to be having cross-border links with Pakistan-based smugglers and anti-national elements. A few names of his accomplices had cropped up during the preliminary probe. Shera was in contact with the Pakistani smugglers through mobile phones, social media and over-the-top applications. The drug consignment was pushed through from the border fence by Pakistani smugglers near Bharobhal village.
