Tourist circuit to include city
Amritsar, March 4
The Federation of Registered Travel Association of Jammu has mooted the concept of golden triangle tourist circuit, which includes the city, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.
Addressing mediapersons, Rajesh Chandan, chairman of the association, said talks were under way to contact the hotel and travel associations in Punjab and Himachal to finalise the route plan.
Inderpal Singh, executive member of the association, said a large number of pilgrims come to pay obeisance at the Golden Temple. Most of them continue their travel to Himachal and Jammu and Kashmir. However, he added, their itinerary not being professionally planned waste a lot of their precious time and even include wasteful expenditure on long travel.
He said Jammu region offered a large number of scenic hilly destinations which are not known much to people. — TNS
