Players from all across the district put up power-packed performances in boxing during the inter-district school games at the Multipurpose Stadium on Friday. Matches were also played at Royaldeep Boxing Club.

The under-19 age group categories concluded on Friday with Sports School, Ghudda, bagging the overall trophy and Mastuana Sahib securing the second place.

In the under 17 (girls) 42-kg weight category, Kamaldeep of Mastuana, Aarti from Muktsar, Arshpreet from Ludhiana and Ramandeep of Patiala reached the semi-finals. In the 42-44 kg weight category, Kirandeep from Ludhiana, Jagnoorpreet from Gurdaspur, Amandeep from Bathinda, Khushdeep from Moga secured a berth in the semi-final.

In the 44-46 kg weight category, Priyanaka from Moga, Sushila from Moga, Babli from Sangrur, Manmeet from Bathinda also secured place in the semi-finals. In the 46-48 kg weight category, Khusdeep from Muktsar, Muskanpreet from Ferozepur, Ekta from Mohali, Shalu from Bathinda reached the semi-final.

Rupinder Singh, managing director of Milk Plant, Bathinda, and district education officer Baljeet Kumar distributed prizes to all the winners.
