The NSS unit organised a college-level ‘green and clean Diwali fair’ at the Punjab Institute of Technology (PIT), Nandgarh, a constituent of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University.
Dr Balwinder Singh Sidhu, director, PIT, Nandgarh, welcomed the main speaker and chief guest Swaran Singh, SP, Vigilance, Bathinda.
A speech on stress management was delivered by Swaran Singh. Students and staff members interacted with the chief guest. The SP, Vigilance, explained various stages of life and shared practical experiences to become a successful personality.
He focused on the importance of time management, health management as well as environment issues.
He said students could work more effectively with the support of their parents to eliminate the social evil of burning of pralli (rice husk).
