Bharat, Nutcha win best actor award in drama event

“Akbari Lota”, a Hindi play, performed by Sama House was adjudged first while “Pygmalian”, an English play, performed by Yajur House bagged the top spot in the Inter-house Hindi and English Dramatics Competition organised at The Aryan School here today.

The best actor award was shared by Bharat Sharma of Sama House and Nutcha of Yajur House.

The Hindi section presented two plays “Vaada” and “Akbari Lota”. It was a splendid portrayal of the human spirit and captivated audience from the very beginning. The main characters were Mayank Miglani, Rajnandani and Prashant Kakkar. Bharat, Rhea and Abhimanyu performed Akbari Lota.

In the English section, Atharva House presented ‘Lamb to the Slaughter’ and Yajur House enacted ‘Pygmalian’. Both the houses gave poignant performance on the stage. The superlative variety of expression, skill, tranquility, emotion and an intense zeal by Nutcha, Muskan Makin, Abhi-shek Tyagi, Kashish Vashisht and Debashish were astounding.

Principal B Dasgupta announced the much-awaited and anticipated results. She said all the house teachers worked hard to put together the sterling performance. The judge of the competition, Sudarshan Juyal, appreciated all four plays andsaid all actors did a commendable job.
