Chandigarh, August 13
A day after the bomb hoax at Elante Mall, the UT police are yet to identify the person who rang up the police control room to inform about explosives planted at the shopping place, triggering panic. Cops have, however, identified the internet gateway through which the call was made.
SSP Nilambari Jagdale said the caller was not identified yet, but the gateway through which he placed the hoax call had been identified. The police said the name of the gateway was Gsoft Technologies.
“The gateway website has been contacted to obtain details of the user and the internet protocol (IP) address,” the SSP said. The SSP added that whether the call was made from India or abroad could only be established once they got the IP address. — TNS
