Two miscreants who had hired an auto forcibly took away the auto and cash from its driver at Sarangpur.
According to the police, auto driver Manoj Kumar reported that two unknown persons boarded his auto from near the Transport light point. The duo had hired the auto for Mullanpur.
The victim alleged that on reaching near the Sarangpur light point, the duo started thrashing him and took away Rs 700, documents and the auto from him on October 12. They then escaped in the same auto. The police were informed, who registered a case at the Sarangpur police station and initiated an investigation into the matter.
