Patiala, June 9
A three-member team sent by the Union Ministry of Ayush visited a drug testing lab and Government Ayurvedic Pharmacy & Store located near the Sher-e-Punjab market here.
Members of the team inspected the records of the sale purchase of Ayurvedic medicines. The team members reached here in the morning despite a public holiday and the inspection continued till 1 pm.
It is learnt that there were regular complaints against officials of the lab and the pharmacy alleging irregularities and misdoings.
The Central Government is issuing funds to promote Ayurveda across the nation and the pharmacy is also getting around Rs 5 crore as financial aid.
