Chandigarh, September 1  

DAV Senior Secondary School (Sector 8) won the inter-school boys' U-17 handball tournament by defeating Guru Nanak Khalsa School (Sector 30) in a tight affair. The Sector 8 team logged a 32-29 win to claim the title. 

Meanwhile, in the boys' U-14 category, Guru Nanak Khalsa School defeated Government Model High School (Sector 36) 13-10. In the second match, Government Model Senior Secondary School (Sector 56) overpowered DAV Senior Secondary School (Sector 8) 28-25. 

Shivalik Public School (Sector 41) won their girls' U-14 opening match. The Sector 41 team defeated Government Model Senior Secondary School (Sector 19) 16-4. Government Model High School (Sector 41) registered a 7-1 win over Government High School (Sector 47), while Government Girls' Model Senior Secondary School (Sector 18) overpowered Sacred Heart School (Sector 26) 7-0. Government Model Senior Secondary School (Sector 8) pulled off a 12-3 victory over AKSIPS (Sector 41).

GMHS-32 beat GMHS-35    

Government Model High School (Sector 32) won the inter-school boys' U-17 kho-kho tournament, which concluded at the Sector 42 Sports Complex. In the final, the Sector 32 team defeated Government Model High School (Sector 35) 21-2. Government Model High School (Sector 7) claimed the third position by defeating IS Dev Samaj School (Sector 21) 20-2 to claim the third position.

Meanwhile, in one of the girls' U-14 semifinals, GMHS- 42 registered a tight 8-7 win over St Joseph's Senior Secondary School (Sector 44).
