Top seed Suryanshi Tanwar lived up to her billing as she packed off second seed Riya Kaushik in straight sets to clinch the girls’ U-18 title before ousting Harleen Kaur Dhanda to seal the U-14 final on the concluding day of the Roots-AITA Champion Series (CS-7) National Ranking Tennis Tournament at Zirakpur on Friday.
Suryanshi dismissed Riya 6-4 6-0 and then drubbed second seed Harleen 6-0 6-1 to win her second title of the day.
Top seed Aditya Chauhan prevailed 6-3 6-2 over second seed Devansh Verma in the boys’ U-14 final, while Aryan Thakur dumped Jeffin to clinch the boys’ U-18 title. The top seed won 6-2 6-3 in the final.
