Gymnasts Arav, Sarika triumph

PANCHKULA:Arav Jindal scored 14.60 points to claim the aerobics gold in the boys’ 9-11 years age-group at the second District Gymnastics Championship here today.

Arav Jindal scored 14.60 points to claim the aerobics gold in the boys’ 9-11 years age-group at the second District Gymnastics Championship here today. Aahan followed in second place with 11 points, while Agam scored nine points to bag third position. 

In the girls’ 9-11 years age-group, Sarika topped the podium with 14.80 points. Divyanshi (14 points) and Saiyesha (11 points) claimed the second and third positions respectively. 

In the girls’ trio competition, Arav, Sarika and Divyanshi scored a combined total of 12.60 points to bag the gold medal. Aahan, Misthi and Agam (10.40 points) claimed the silver medal, while Gaurangi, Saiyesha and Mahi (9.30 points) took home the bronze.

In the boys’ 12-14 years age-group, Jatin (15 points) clinched the gold medal, while Rudra (13.80 points) bagged the silver. Aditya (9.10 points) had to be content with the bronze medal. 

Riya, meanwhile, scored 15.20 points to top the podium in the women’s competition. She was followed by Navya (14 points) in second place, while Chetna (10.40 points) occupied the third spot. 

In the women’s trio event, Jatin, Riya and Navya (12.70 points) won the gold medal, while Yashvi, Rudra and Aditya (10.40 points) claimed the silver. Chetna, Sajal and Ridhima (10 points) bagged the bronze medal.
