CHANDIGARH: A miscreant stole an iPhone and documents after smashing the windowpane of a retired IAS officer’s car in Sector 10.

A miscreant stole an iPhone and documents after smashing the windowpane of a retired IAS officer’s car in Sector 10.

The complainant, GS Sandhu, a former Secretary to the Government of India, along with his family, had come for a morning walk at the Leisure Valley on October 15 and had parked his car in the parking lot next to the petrol pump.

The complainant, a resident of Sector 16, returned after around an hour and found the rear window of the Swift Dzire car smashed and all items lying in the dash board scattered on the front side. His iPhone and a pouch containing the papers of the car were stolen. A case of theft has been registered at the Sector 3 police station. — TNS
