PANCHKULA:Ishaan and Agastya drubbed Kunal and Amarpreet 21-11 21-12 to seal a spot in the boys’ U-13 doubles final in the 14th Ashwani Gupta Memorial District Badminton Championship at Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex here on Monday.

Ishaan and Agastya drubbed Kunal and Amarpreet 21-11 21-12 to seal a spot in the boys’ U-13 doubles final in the 14th Ashwani Gupta Memorial District Badminton Championship at Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex here on Monday. 

In the final, the duo will face Kabir and Divyam, who registered a 21-14 21-19 win over Akshay and Rajat. 

Ruchi and Ananya dismissed Avni and Shrestha 21-4 21-4 to move into the girls’ U-13 doubles final. 

In the girls’ U-25 doubles semifinals, Vineeta and Nikita ousted Kanishka and Akanksha 21-11 21-18, while Devika and Ridhi packed off Khushi and Rijul to enter the girls’ U-17 doubles final. The duo won 21-8 21-6.

Ishaan eyes twin titles

Ishaan Sihag downed Digvijay 21-5 21-5 to ease into the boys’ U-13 singles final before dominating Shaurya 21-8 21-6 in the U-15 singles semifinal. 

In the girls’ U-13 singles semifinals, Ananya Mann defeated Bhavna 21-11 21-11, while Ruchi Chahal overcame Akanksha Singh 21-15 17-21 21-13. 

Rijul Saini humbled Vineeta Panchal 21-15 21-14 to move into the girls’ U-15 singles final. She also booked a place in the U-17 final after beating Ridhi Kaur Toor 21-15 21-8. In the final, Rijul will face Devika Sihag, who registered a 21-11 21-7 win over Himanshi Dhingra.
